Data Engineer
Design and build the data infrastructure that powers our analytics. You will create reliable, scalable data pipelines and platforms that enable our analysts and ML engineers to work effectively.
About the Role
We are looking for a Data Engineer to strengthen our Technology team in New York. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain the data infrastructure that underpins our client engagements and internal analytical capabilities.
You will work on a wide range of data challenges — integrating disparate data sources, building ETL/ELT pipelines, designing data models, and ensuring data quality and governance. Our clients depend on reliable, well-structured data to make critical business decisions.
This role offers the chance to work across industries and data stacks, giving you broad exposure to modern data engineering practices in a consulting context.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for client and internal data platforms
- Build and optimize data models, warehouses, and lakes using modern cloud platforms
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and governance across pipelines and systems
- Collaborate with analysts and ML engineers to understand data requirements and deliver solutions
- Evaluate and implement new data tools and technologies to improve efficiency
- Document data architectures, lineage, and technical decisions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering or a related role
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
- Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks)
- Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt, Prefect, or Dagster)
- Solid understanding of data modeling, warehousing patterns, and data governance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with streaming data (Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub)
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Knowledge of data catalog and lineage tools
- Prior experience in a consulting or multi-client environment

Compensation & Benefits
$130,000 – $165,000
Annual base salary
